I managed to get the inside of the roof painted with epoxy today. I sanded the inside of the roof yesterday and also treated it with a phosphoric acid-based rust remover to kill off the microscopic rust particles. The settings on the spray gun are spot on now. No runs this time.

I painted the roof today with epoxy. It can be tricky to get the paint fully into the rain channels. I will have a few touch-ups once the paint is cured and sanded. The shine from the epoxy highlights all the imperfections in the metalwork too. At least it is properly sealed now.

I painted a bit more epoxy primer today, both the inner wings on the shell and the wings themselves. It's time to take the mini off the rotisserie and start fitting the boot and doors before welding the skins on.

I have skinned the doors and boot and am in the process of perfecting the fit before I repaint them with epoxy.

To get the boot to fit properly at the hinges, I made a tool to manually adjust the lower boot panel that works a treat.

I needed to add a few shims to get the gaps right, but happy with the driver's side

Good lines with the outer sill

Tweaking on the passenger side is giving good lines

Gaps are good

But the bottom hinge is pushing the bottom of the door in too far, so I may need to rework the holes
