Hi lads .is there anyway of putting in a third seatbelt in the back of a mini. Iv 3 small lads an wanted to buy a classic mini for future road trips . Anyway of getting 3 seatbelts in the back for kids ?

In theory you could double up the innermost fixing points, so a 3-point belt either side then a lap belt in the middle, or just 3 lap belts over the 4 lower fixing points...

When minis gained rear seatbelts they went from being 5 seater to 4 seater, something to consider for insurance. Depending on the year of car it could also be a NCT issue. I fitted two belts in the back of my estate, they may not be legal but they are better than nothing. I think a centre lap belt is the only way you can go.
