If standard your car should have a 59D4 distributor and a ballast coil.
The britpart kit is for a 45D4 dizzy.I've bought one of these but haven't used it yet.
I know nothing about the accuspark but the kit you would need is

I have used Aldon kits in the past but I see they have got very expensive.

The electronics in my Aldon distributor burnt out (unfortunately before I got to go round the track at Mondello!). The engine in my car is a 1275 out of a Metro, not sure what year. The electronic "box" in the distributor has a sticker with 42AD-V5 on it. Would anybody be able to provide info/link to where I could replace the electronics or the whole distributor if more reasonable please?

Thanks

Aldon should be able to supply a replacement unit. I'd check that your using the correct coil and weather the car is wired for ballast or non ballast system. Is it a standard engine or what spec is it?

Weather you use a ballast or non ballast system is independent of the engine spec. If you got a complete engine including the correct dizzy then you must determine if the dizzy is ment to run with or without a ballast coil. The fact your using an aldon dizzy means it was changed somewere along the line but again you need to know is it a ballast or non-ballast dizzy and fit the correct coil to match. The other thing you must know is weather the loom in you car is for a ballast or non-ballast system and if nessissary convert it to whichever you need to use.
