well after breaking the civic i picked myself up a runaround and was on the look out for an s14a or e36 m3. But after having a think about it if i got one i would still want a mini. So i decided to go balls out on the mini. bt:)
picked it up yesterday off a member on here its pretty solid but the forward drive clutch in the box is gone so only have reverse (rrfl: great crack flying around the estate in reverse.

bits picked up so far
4efte engine, loom, interior loom, linkage, ecu, front mount, alloy rad and mounts.
got a new welder too bt:)

wont be getting stuck in till next week as i have to get the garage sorted :mad:
parts to buy in the next few weeks
4 pot brakes
internal pedal box
fibreglass flip front, door skins, boot lid,
full cage
coilover conversion
forged internals
td04/5 turbo
shalfts
group 7 carbon archs
13x8 wheels

but mini has a new home home its not pretty but its dry and indoors a luxury in not used to so it will do the job bt:)

pretty busy today but managed to get the car ready to go under the knife bt:)

pretty busy all weekend so spent a few hours today as i probly wont get to it at all this weekend :mad)pretty hungover but couldnt leave it alone so did this bt:)

getting places with the subframe just takes so long to make sure its 100% square cut once measure 50 times (rrfl:

finished frame just need to drop it out and weld it fully and make 2 bottom bars bt:)

frame more less done just need brace bars and under brace rad in and mocking up front mount unsure if to go extended round nose or clubby

Nice update dude, I've nbeen following this over on toc (I'm the wexico rep) will this fit with the standard front? I've got a Nissan 16v conversion I'm gone rally but thinkin a building a 5efthe for my mini pickup to use as a tow truck for the rally car,

yup it will fit in a standard front with the standard turbo but if you wanted to put on a bigger turbo you will need and extended front :oops:

mine fits in perfect no need to trim the grill or any of that. took alot of fliddling but fits well and have enough room for a alloy honda rad up front.

tbh i wouldnt make a subframe for anyone as thats a big risk to take imo but if you need a hand with the design no bothers pm me

servo fitted french style may look like a small update but was a pig and will greatly improve the stopping power compaired to a non servo systembt:)

got a rebuild kit for my calipers all fitted now bt:)

then picked up a td04 and since i found it so hard to find one i picked up a sparebt:) gonna build a hybird td04 with 19t compressor wheel and housing with a billet exhaust turbine for faster spool and better flow

Hopefully but the way it's looking I'll only be running 240ish this summer and then I'll put her away for the winter and she will come out forged and running about 320

also welded in plates to mount the front when it arrives was a pig as the steel is so thin :wallbash)

abit of an update wired it up

then tried to start it it barred over had fuel pressure,injector pulse and power to the coil but no spark :wallbash)
tried everything and got pissed off and smashed the dizzy with a hammer (rrfl:
turns out the coil has to be earthed by bolting it to the body which i hadnt done so got a new dizzy and earthed the coil and bam she runs :D

made a video cant run her for long as the oil line was a homemade bodge to get her running and leaks like a bit :rolleyes:

got moving on fitting the front and making mounting points

being fibreglass it took abit of cutting filing and trimming to fit but very happy with how it fits now

******* freezing today so only did a few bits the front is now fixed to the car fully no more vice grips ha fitted the chin spoiler and moved the inter cooler so it tilts back to get more air while staying hiddenbt:)

well not much done lately to post about just odd bits and bobs being done with aint fun to look at so i save you the boredom :nuts) pulled her out today to give the garage a clean got bored of cleaning and stuck the aches on for the crack bt:) gonna need wider wheels bt:)

tidied the wiring and plumbed up the rad bt:)
abit of an update have the 2 looms spliced together now and working off the mini barrel bt:) get the pump working off the efi relay and reverse light working off the gt reverse switch. then tackled the headlights, brake lights, indicators, hazzards, heater, rear defrost and all the other little bits bt:) so my mind was fried so started a nice easy job today bt:)
have most of it done but it got too dark to take a pic but u get the idea bt:)

not much updates finished the floor and have started sealing the under neat :wallbash) very time consuming :wallbash)
