No Engine ecu , help!!!

Hi ,
Im doing a project and due to moving a house i've lost my Ecu . I have looked up old pictures and it said AG on it
Its a 1994 mayfair carb model

If its a carb model it doesn't have an ecu.post a pic of the part

Thats a good one
but there is a carb in it so does than mean i dont need the ecu at all , will it start without it ?

i checked and the engine number doesnt match the logbook

Obviously been a swap at some point, does it at least start with a 12 ?

When i bought the car it was starting and driving perfect then i put it fully apart and now im putting it back together , i dont have the loom and fuel tank in so i cant check would it start without the ecu

With a carb you dont need an ECU, instead you have a dizzy and a coil. You also dont need a fuel tank either, just anything to hold a bit of petrol.

This is interesting.
I myself have just bought an automatic '94 Cooper. I bought it before realising it had the ECU removed and a carb installed. Turns out the previous owner spent over €1000 getting the conversion done, along with a modified centre exit exhaust.
but how do people feel about the conversion in general?
And what tuning possibilities should I take advantage of?
