Thought Woody would have replied to this, he's the recognised resident aficionado in regards to things of this nature.

Re: Hazzard switch
there's also a flasher unit required for the hazards, as well as some extra wiring: its possible the wiring may be in place, but as TMG says woody's the man.
Signature still awaiting top-coat and lacquer....

Re: Hazzard switch
Sorry lads ,didn't realise I was on 24hour call
Hazard switches seldom give trouble but the flasher and its connector do .Should be just left of the wiper motor. The other common problem is the inline fuse behind the carb.
First thing to do is unplug the flasher and check that you hahe 12 volts at one of the connections.

Re: Hazzard switch
Do you just want to add hazards or do you plan on upgrading other electrics ( fog light ,reverse light ,stalk switches) in which case it would be easier to change loom. If you just want to add hazards I may have something for you to make it easier.

Re: Hazzard switch
I take it yours is an early '76 with the two center switches for lights and wipers and the hazwrd switch you have is a late '76. The best place to tap into the main loom will be at the connector for the indicator stalk and beside the steering colum.
1. you have two double wires on your switch Green/Red and Green/White, you can remove one of each.Join each of these to the same colour cable at the connector
2. You have 2 Light green/Brown from the switch. Cut the Light green/Brown in the loom and join each end to each cable to the switch.
3. At the fuseboard you need to join another inline fuse to the brown cables.
4. This fuse now feeds a hazard flasher unit and the output of the flasher joins the switch on the Light green/Pink cable
5. You then earth the black wire to the switch.
Make sure to use the correct flasher unit 4x21watt + 2X5watt

Re: Hazzard switch
Not pink cable, the system used to describe cables ie Light green/Pink is the main cable colour first (Light green) followed by "/" the colour of the thin strip( Pink).
Hard to judge by the photo but it looks Light green/Pink to me.
List out all the cable colours on your switch
Most of what I said still applies as far as I can see.
