I am looking to get my original Morris Mini grill re chromed, all companies on the various forums have a horror story for every good one, so has anyone actually used one and can recommend it?
Thanks
Adrian

I have used a couple of different companies in the past. The one I've had the best results with is Derby Plating in Derby in the UK. They state on their website that their reputation is "expensive but good" and that is exactly how I found them. If your original items are pitted in any way, make sure you get a company that does the triple-plating process, i.e heavy copper plates first to fill in the pitting, the polishes that before nickel plating and finally chrome plating. If the company skips that copper plating step you will only end up with a shiny part with shiny pitting in it.....guess how I found that out...
