Right iv the red light lighting up after i drive a mile or two and i checked the power coming from the alternator and its at 14.8 - 15 and the battery was close enough to it at around 14.2
Checked the haynes mannual and it says it could be worn or broken belt worn or dirty alt bushs but if eather of them were worn would it give out 14-15 volt ?

When im cruiseing at 50-60 the car seems like its getting a bad spark and sort of chocks and then is ok agin for another while and will then do the same thing with in another 5 mile

Now iv all new spark plugs and leads in and all and connected right would a bad spark or problem in ignition system cause the light to come on ?

Sorry if iv rambled about im abit frustrated with this yoke now

Something wrong inside the altenater gettint it reconditioned with a local lad was going to get a new one but recon was much expensive

Voltage regulator in the alternator is going, 15v at the battery will boil the battery and leave a very unpleasant smell, or blow all ur light bulbs, been there twice

Amen , been there to and its a mankey smell
