MINCE PIE RUN

=> Santa's heading off to collect the mulled wine & mince pies!!!!!

Date: Sunday 30th December 2012.

Meeting Point: Blessington - Market Square beside the Ulster Bank (on the right after Topaz Filling Station if approaching from the Dublin side of the town.)
Blessington is located only 15 miles south west of the M50 along the N81.

Time: Meet at 11:30 for a midday departure.

To shake down the excesses of Christmas, we've organised a short themed run which will take us no more than 90 minutes along the back roads of Wicklow/Kildare.
On arrival at Donadea Forrest Park, we will have mince pies & mulled wine (non alcoholic!)

Feel free to bring your own sambos & flasks as there are outdoor picnic tables close to the car park.
There is also a log cabin coffee shop (soup/sambos/cakes etc) with an outdoor wood burning fire & adjoining toilets.



Donadea Forrest Park is ideally located close to the N7 & N4, so with the long winter evenings, we plan to have everyone home in daylight.

Fair play tony for organizing another run, hope to make this one and will add name when 100% sure

I've to submit a group activity form to the Coillte Forest Park Ranger so if anyone is planning on going on this event can you add your name in order to have an indication of numbers for the park authorities

I'd love to go but have to wait till nearer the time to find out if I'm working

Took a spin out to Donadea today where there was a very festive atmosphere with Santa in his grotto, the elves helping in the log cabin cafe with nice Xmas music playing on the outdoor speakers while we had our soup outside beside the fire

Anybody going on this run from southeast we will meet at "The Bini Garage" just outside Enniscorthy where we normally meet @ 10 am. Feel free to bring a picnic.

Great run out for the car today, 240 miles in total, lucky it wasn't the economy run or I was in trouble, half a tank in 40 miles, don't know how the car didn't go afire. Thanks to Martin and Darran for the route, the main think I hope is that your dad is ok tony.
