Automatic Bother

Post by willman »

My mini is a 1 liter automatic and has recently developed an annoying problem, driving along the car will start to come down gear, but then go back up and it seem to get confused and jam in between gears bring the car to an almost stop.

It happens at roundabouts too if you get a clearance quick

Any help will be greatly appreciated

William

When did you last change the oil and filter? Absolutely vital on an automatic mini.

Once it's 20w50 it should be alright. Just a suggestion, your handbrake or brakes aren't sticking by any chance? Perhaps it's something that's causing extra load on the gearbox.
