Driveshafts

Post by RichyB »

Hi Guys, just took the driveshaft out of my differential to change the diff output oil seal but was wondering what the best way to get it back into the diff? Should it just press back in or do I need to give it a smack? I've tried pushing it in but I thought I'd better get some advice before I go breaking something!

Thanks!

Rich

I normally give it a whack of a plastic hammer to snap it back in place.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

if neither plastic or rubber hammer you have,
use a wood-block to cushion the blow of the steel.
