trailer build

Post by spud1979 »

i recently finished my trailer and i thought its a good idea to share it on here as when i was coming uo with ideas for mine i couldnt find and projects on this. i bought a british open 1993 mini which was rotten and i didnt believe it would be worth repairing. it was stripped and the engine was placed into my own mini. alot of the work on this was done by another club member ger71 (ger Egan). he has done a fantasic job on the welding. the one small thing i did notice when the trailer was finished is that it is at least 3 inches widen than my mini. should have checked really in the first place. didnt think there would be such a difference in shell size. im looking for to next years camping trip and planning to do a show or two in england next year. let me know your thoughts.

needs a belt of the lowering stick,
take out the rear trumpets a cut a little off them to bring it down to the same as the mini, I think the ratio is 1 for 3
