Day trip to Scotland for only £50 (same day return)

Stena ran this promotion earlier in the year and although there was interest in going, the dates did not suit so I contacted Stena with a view to running it again.
As it took a little longer to organise than expected, we decided to go with dates in April of next year and see which one suits.
I think a Saturday would be best as it would allow members a rest day after a long day out in Scotland.

I would be grateful from some feedback so that we can get a definite date and go ahead with this.
These are the proposed dates:

Sat 13th, Sun 14th, Sat 20th, Sun 21st or Sun 28th April 2013.

The plan would be to sail out from Belfast in the morning and upon arrival in Scotland meet up with The Scottish Mini Clan for a meet and a run and maybe a bit of sightseeing before heading back on the ferry again that evening.
It would be a great way to meet other clubs and I have also been in contact with the Donegal Mini Owners Club and the Causeway Coast Club and they are interested in going too. This would be a great way to start off the show season for not a lot of money so all feedback on dates would be great.

Yes Joe,I had thought about that already.I would be leaning more towards the 20th of April for the date with MTM in early May and the IMM on 16th to 20th of May.

I have been in contact with Fraser Love from the Scottish Mini Clan and there has been a good reaction to this proposed event,so much so that depending on the success of this they may come over later in the year for a return trip.Any suggestions on the date from members?

Well done Aidan, your persistence paid off, the 20th of April sounds like a good date to me, A nice shakedown for MTM after the winter, it ll give you plenty of time to tighten your alternator

The weekend of the 12th-14th. A month and a bit then to save for mtm. I'll go any weekend really, once I have notice.

Just have to get back on to Stena and go ahead on this.It looks like the 13th of April would be the date to avoid clashing or being to near other dates.

Nothing planned on the track day yet JP so it shouldn't influence the date of the Scottish run.

It has taken a while but Stena have finally set up this trip on their website so thanks to Neil Palmer from Stena for his help.
It costs £50 for a Mini/MINI and two passengers. Additional passengers are £10 each and it is happening on Saturday the 13th of April.

We will be meeting the Scottish Mini Clan when we get over and after a run we will be having lunch and another short run afterwards.
As this is a Stena promotion we are hoping that members of the Causeway Coast Mini Club, Donegal Mini Owners Club and other Northern Ireland Mini Clubs will come along to try and get as many Minis/MINIS as we can.

If this proves to be a success it may become an annual event as it would be a great way of meeting other Mini owners from Ireland and Scotland so get booking and let's fill the boat.

This looks to be a great event! Im def up for it! But will there only be a certain amount of spaces available or is it as many as the boat can take!?

I think Tesco Vouchers are only redeemable on Full Fare prices.
