Welcome to the Irish Mini Owners Club forum. Celebrating 30 years of the Irish Mini Owners Club, 60 years of the Mini, 50 years of the Clubman and 20 years of our flagship event MTM
The Southern Region's next run will take place on Sunday July 29th and will be one for all the family.
Meeting at 11am at club member Dan Moloney's Esso Station on the Killarney Road, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick for a cuppa, we will then head off for a scenic run which will take us to Ballybunion, Co. Kerry and the beach. Be sure to pack your sandwiches and a flask. We will then finish up in Adare, Co. Limerick.
Dan has included some great places to stop along the route and it will be a fun day out.

Thanks to everyone who turned up for yesterday's Seaside Run, to Dan Moloney for organising the route and the hospitality in Abbeyfeale, and to Joe Conboy who travelled down from Co. Sligo the night before to take part. We had our best turnout for a run this year which was brilliant. There's a few photos on the IMOC facebook page but we'll get more up here later.
The route took us from Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick to the Lartigue Monorailway Museum in Listowel, Co. Kerry where we were given a guided tour and a spin on the train. From there we struck for Ballybunion for a picnic. As the town was crowded, Dan brought us out to Beale beach, a few miles outside the town where it was much quieter and we were able to drive the Minis onto the beach itself. All the kids present had a great time paddling and the adults had a good natter.
From there, we went to Ballylongford for the obligatory "99" before following the scenic N69 past Tarbert, Glin, and Foynes along the Shannon Estuary on to Limerick where everyone went their separate ways. Johnny, Eamonn, and I stopped with the kids in Superbites in Patrickswell where we can recommend the southern fried chicken.
Apart from a shower en route to Abbeyfeale in the morning, the sun shone for the rest of the day in what was a very enjoyable spin around west Limerick/north Kerry. Thanks again to Dan for organising it all.
With so many of the active members of the Southern region heading up to the IMOC Camping Weekend on August 17-19, we have decided that we would have our next club run in September.
