Plenty of talk about this at last Sunday's Charleville Show. Seems there should be a few Minis travelling from Munster to Italy.

It is now possible to register for IMM2013 on their website:
www.imm2013.eu

You can pay the €60 fee by credit card too.

Alternatively, you can register in full but not pay until 28th February.
This may be an option for those still considering going but need more time to confirm their commitment.

Tony,

I saw you drive through the gates into hungery imm, ok only because Aidan was forced to drink with Joe at the back of the bus and Killian reckon he better remember at least arriving.

But technical you drove. The next big question, and you do not know the answer, is on the Monday after the Imm, do you want to start driving home or the airport.

And of course you'll have to carry a spare one in case you are asked to blow into one of them.

Tony, can't you fly in on the 18th and we'll collect you from the airport?

Don't give up on it yet.

Now that the disappointment has passed, I'll have to look at the other options.
Yeah, I'll fly in & Darran even suggested sharing the trip home in a car with someone so I'll salvage some of it hopefully :)

Now that's the spirit! Driving back will take at least 2 days which means there'll be an extra couple of night's socialising than there would be if you flew home.

You need to figure which boats you will be taking and what days they sail on. You'll get a daily service from Ireland-UK-France but Ireland-France is only 3 days a week.

Once on the continent you are looking at a good 2 days driving if not 3. So you have to take into account overnighting somewhere unless you plan on staying in L'hôtel de la petite voiture.

Avoiding Motorway tolls will cost you in longer journey/more fuel/lots more time.

There's no problem that way with ferries.

Just checked CelticLink who Tony had suggested in an earlier post. They work out at €348 return. All prices include cabins which are compulsary.

Time to start putting aside the shillings.

960 miles dodging French tolls. It's 3 days of driving if you want to get them by Thursday afternoon. Looks like the Sunday sailing for me through Cherbourg on the way out.
