Hi everyone!

Been beavering away on my Elf over the winter and she's coming along a treat. Have replaced the wheels, got hub caps, painted the centres, replaced the overriders, new headlining and sunvisors, got original steering wheel and centre and fitted that...she spent a few weeks with Ray Cunningham in Galway Mini having a tune up...well, the whole story of her revamp can be seen at the Elf Hornet Register forum in the projects section there if you're interested.

Her interior is currently being remade by the lovely Joe at Stitched Up Autos in Dun Shaughlin, in a few weeks time I hope to be able to show you photos of that, but in the mean time, thought I would share a few pics of her after a good old fashioned wash and wax yesterday (a hour before the heavens opened AGAIN!).

Still haven't made it along to any meet ups but hope to at some point. :)

Hi Mini Sprite.
The whole interior (seats, doorcards, boot floor, door bins, carpets - the whole shebang) was done by Joe at Stitched Up in Dun Shaughlin. http://stitchedupcarupholstery.com Lovely chap, nice work and reasonable. The dashboard was reveneered by Chapman and Cliff in the UK.

Dougal - still waiting for the info to arrive on the camping weekend, we were thinking about going if it doesnt clash with our holiday. :)

EDIT - just checked - we're away. What a shame :( Will definitely come next year.

Thanks Tony! I appreciate the comments, this is my first ever car restoration and I have tried very hard to get it right.

In case you're interested, the baskets are from the 1959 Mini Register.

They do also come up on ebay from time to time, but I think the quality is lower, as the chap at the Register had them made specially to the original spec.

The autojumble won't be in Clonsilla this year lads. It was great to have the use of the facilities and have food available etc but rain was always a threat to both the stuff for sale and the attendance levels so this year the IMOC committee have decided to use the venue used every year by the IVVCC which offers indoor facilities as well as the grub. Details in the Events section.

I'm all in favour of an indoor event, nothing worse than getting your jumble drenched! :)

Sounds like a good venue, too. See you there, fingers crossed!
