Car battery prices

I was justed quoted €124 for an 096 battery in a shop in Galway. Have battery prices really gone that high?

replaced my battery before mtm. got it from micks garage, there the cheapest i could find for a good quality battery, they were having a sale 20% off and free delivery. paid 77 euro.

€124 is a bit on the pricey side for a battery these days,
last time I got battery (063 type) I paid around €50 from a motorfactor

I heard of a Lithium Ion car battery , £100 sterling, less than 1kg in weight, charges from flat in 10mins, unused will hold a 8) charge for 6 months plus. 8)

€124 is expensive. You should nearly be able to get 2 batterys at that price!!! As already said above €50 to €80 would be the price range for a battery like that.
As for Halfords, if anyone is in regular be sure to inquire into getting a trade card. Theres a big difference with them on trade price and retail price :)

I only paid about €50 at the local motor factors last year for 063.
