Looking for some advice, I keep coming out to find my battery dead. I bought a new one and same thing has happened again. I thought it was new radio I connected but disconnected this and still happened? Any ideas

alternator could draw power which means its gone

What happened to me last month was that the earth lead to the battery was badly worn. Changed it and no problem.

I had a similar issue with the battery going completely flat every now and then, turned out to be the positive from the battery that runs under the car, at the front where it goes up into the engine bay there was a metal clip with a bolt to hold it to the body. The clip had probably scraped over a lot of speed bumps over the years, as the front edge of it was as sharp as a blade and had cut into the cable. It was earthing, but only sometimes, never noticed it driving.

I took out radio but made no difference

with everything turned off, take the earth lead off the battery, put a digital multi-meter between the negative battery terminal and the earth lead, measure the current flow. it should be 0 (or *very* near 0)

if its not 0 (or *very* near 0) keep unplugging things and looking at the meter. thats a way to find whats drawing the current.

Dont try starting the car with that meter in place. you will fry your meter.
