over heating loss of coolant

mini was overheating on me on the way to work yesterday, when I pulled over all the water was gone out of radiator, top her up and got her home and where the bottom hose joins the waterpump theres a constant drip is this just simply that I need to to tighten the clamp/add extra clamps? just had the head gasket done last week coolant top up'd saturday.

I'll tighten it up and give her a run tomorrow, also battery keeps running down despite been driven everyday dodgy alternator?

Or bad connection of battery terminals?

I would check the water pump too. If the bearings are gone in it you will see it leaking from one of the holes in the pump housing. Its usually the top hole and very obvious or it can be the bottom hole which is difficult to see.

think your on to something there tightened the hose but there is a constant dripping under the waterpump but I can't see exactly where it is, 'the beard' might be popping up later for a hand :wink: cheers!
