help with colour choice

hi am currently rebuilding a mk4 is going to be a mk1 look a like with tail lights and grille and archless with 10inch minilights and over riders but is going to paint shop in the next week or two but i havent a clue what colour to paint it dont want red as is to common, want a real classic mk1 colour was think along the line of tweed grey with black roof any suggestions are welcome cheers steven

ive come around to preferring darker colors on older cars. - damask red and old english white roof, black leather trimmed with cream piping.... here's an elf:

the roof in this case is "whitehall gray", not OEW.

thats lovely , was think tweed grey with black roof but dont know if would suit a look alike

Surf blue with black or white roof. :P Mine is red :cry: and it will be red again :mrgreen:

thanks they look smashin ive yet to see a tweed grey mini in fermanagh which is also good ;) .just wondering now weither to go with white or black roof which would match my 10x4.5 silver minilifes better?

once you go black, you never go back.... seriously though; the gray is quite light, and white might look a little pale against it. black. has to be.
