hey there, ive got what used to be a 97 volcano orange mini.. ive had it for 7 years now its done a bit of sitting up and rusting and then ive done a lot of cutting and patching and fixing .. its on the road now running great nct and all and now im carefully tracking down the finishing bits..

i have a set of mk1 lights to go on .. speaking of which .. has anyone had problems wiring up the mk1 lights into the 97 loom .. we had aufull problems with them so i figured id ask around here. we tried all sorts of combinations with the wires but couldnt get everything to work together..

also how do i stick a photo up?

Hi Eoin and welcome to the Forum.

The lights shouldn't be too big an issue the only thing is that you are loosing a reversing light. If you have a Haynes manual it gives all the correct colour codes for the wires you need and it is just a matter of joining the right wires up.

All you need to know about putting pictures in your post can be found here.

MK1 lights are wired the same as any other, make sure you have a good earth. AFAIK the reversing light is required for the NCT.On my woody I hahe matching chrome fog and reverse lights.
