Some Advice

Hi All,
Just need some advice. Im thinking of changing the GT around a little bit, but not sure if I should or not. The things I want to do is:

The grille is black with the small bits of chrome pieces on it. However, I was thinking of painting it a matt black. The lights are also chrome surrounds, and not sure if I should do them too, or leave them, or do anything with the grille at all. Anyone ever do something similar?

Also, its currently on 12's, can 10's be fitted, or should I assume that 12 was the smallest size? (its a 1980).

Any advice appreciated!

Alan

best thing to do would be to get someone to photoshop a picture of your gt, changing the bits of the grille to the colour you want
at least this way you will see what it looks like before you sand it down to paint it only to regret doing it :)
to change to 10s youd need to have 7.5" discs (cooper s). you can get a conversion kit off the likes of minispares or buy them second hand to change from 8.4" to 7.5"

I am building my GT at the moment and this is the grille painted matt black along with half bumpers I made myself. As regards the 10" wheels if you have 7.9" disc brake set up then it is a straight swop but being a late GT I would think you have 8.4" disc brake set up so you would need a conversion kit or as Steven said a Fiesta conversion.

Thanks for all the replies. I think Ill leave the 12s for now, purely for finance reasons! KMG, did you paint that grille yourself? Was it the chrome light surrounds too?
