Facelift - Stage 2.......

Not to be out done by Darran and Billy, my own red Mini is having a bit of cosmetic surgery at the moment!

After 3 years of regular use, it was begining to show signs of weather induced damage.
The usual areas around the front lights and scuttle/wing joints etc had some bubbling.
Thankfully, the car is remarkably soild overall so a lot of the work is bringing it back to the bare metal where needed and then the wings, bonnet, front scuttle & roof will be resprayed.
Also, the seam join beneath the rear bumper had surface corrosion on it as did a small patch on the offside rear window frame so they are being remedied and repainted.

Yesterday the car was masked off and then the primer coat applied.

Received its red paint today. The roof will be painted black on Monday then all the brightwork etc will have to be refitted.

It should be all back together and ready for collection tomorrow evening.
