Having taken part in the Mallow parade for the last two years, we have been invited back to Mallow again this year.
As per last year, we will assemble Minis at the Topaz garage on the Limerick road out of Mallow @1.30pm.
If there is interest on the day, we can go for a spin after the parade.
Mallow is 20 miles from Cork city, and 40 miles from both Killarney and Limerick.

Text just sent out to all paid-up 2011 members in the Southern Region. If you live in Munster and didn't just receive a text about the Parade, your membership for 2011 is due.

Slight change of plans for Thursday. If anyone wants to meet up earlier at the Topaz garage for a cuppa on the Limerick side of Mallow from 1pm, Johnny Murphy will co-ordinate things there. I'm also involved in the Fermoy parade in the morning so I won't be in Mallow before 1.30pm.

Great turnout today for the Mallow Parade. We didn't have a designated slot in the parade but when a gap appeared between the rugby players and the marching band, we sneaked in the 11 Minis!! We had members from Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Waterford, and Clare. If we had someone from Tipp there today, we would have had representation from all over Munster, a great result for such a big region.
We met up at the Topaz garage outside Mallow where folks grabbed a bite to eat.
New club member, Gerry Casey from Tralee, brought his Convertible out for its first IMOC event.
Back to the Wild Goose restaurant after the parade for a bowl of soup and a natter.
Overall a relaxed and successful afternoon. Thanks to the 4 members who renewed their membership today and to new member Dylan Bulman whose form Johnny passed on to me today.
The next Southern Region event is the visit to the Kilgarvan Motor Museum on Sunday April 17th.

Also spotted this in the Fermoy parade that morning. Seems to belong to a local club:
