My Brother Darrens mini
Well Ive been kept to limited hours on my own minis recently since November last year actually, working on the other halfs 206cc , my own RX7 and most importantly my bros latest project since he caught the mini bug again
We travelled over to the uk Liverpool to be precise to get her, a little red well looked after 91 reg with millions of receipts paperwork wiring diagrams for everthing that had been done to the car.
Not a bad little motor, with very little rust and a nice little 1340 with only 1500mile since a fresh build
In November we set about getting her off the road into the workshop for the once over
Were missing a few photos but you get the idea
We started off with the annoying part, stripping the car in prep for its new coat
Next was the minor repairs and starting to remove the engine for a few mods
Little dent
And after alot of sanding and repairs she was ready a lick of ferrari Red and gloss black for the roof
And a nice shiney new coat
Then it was time for the mods to begin, starting with the engine out and some work on the suspension
A little hole cut in the bulk for the weber box (cheers Paul) ad he didnt want it welded in so we went the pop rivet route!
So this is her with the windows in and most exterior parts fitted
With the engine out some of the work, included 286 scatter pattern Cam, Weber Carb, SC/CR box with minispares cross pin diff and while we have her apart inspected and replaced everything that needed doing, A bit of engine paint and its ebay tastic (nice and red)
That and the box and engine got a bit of work done
New Xpin diff fitted and loaded up
Then while waiting for some parts we fitted a new dash
So up to last night we have just fitted the engine to the new gearbox and aiming for fitting in the next week with more photos to come
Next is get the flywheel and clutch fitted,
Markie

Very nice indeed, loving the Recaro's , one of the nicest seats for the Mini, I have a pair tucked away for safe keeping.
