rebuild process

Post by Eanna »

hey,

first of happy new year to ye...........

im looking for a little help here form anybody with a bit of 'know how'

im after buying an '88 mini mayfair 998cc and am planning on restoring it for my own use as a second car(i have a van for work). i want to do a fairly descent job on it but don't mind doing bits and pieces again. im planning on doing as much of the work as possible myself.

the thing is id like an idea as to the order of doing things other people have used and have found worked well.

all help/comments are welcome and appreciated

all the best
Eanna

What condition is the car in, do any panels need repairing or replacing, is it running, is an engine rebuild on the cards, do you intend to respray the car, are you looking for a general second car or something that will be concourse ?

Here is a link to a site that I look up every now and again, it is for the main Mini specialist in Holand, just click on any of the pictures and it will lead to a pictorial diary of the restoration of that Mini, can't fault it.
