Hi John Paul. The economy run is pretty simple and a bit of fun.
Basically, we meet at a certain service station, fill up our cars under the supervision of a few club officials, milage is taken and noted and then we proceed to do a certain route following a routebook and return to second service station where we refuel.
Then, with a few calculations, we work out how much fuel we all used on the route. We then retire for refreshments and wait for the results which can be very interesting!

Hey sorry to ask this but are passengers to pay the 5 euro to come along to these events or are they free in the car with a registered IMOC member?
Don't under-estimate the mini!

If you are a paid up member of the IMOC passengers are free, the €5 is only for non club members who bring along a Mini.
