The blasting had shown up a covered-up split in the drivers side inner wing so this was properly welded up

And if it's access to awkward places you want, there is only one way to do it......

Amazing bit of work there. I'm inspired to make a start on my own 1980 estate. Its already stripped to a bare shell. I wasn't so sure about soda blasting but having seen yours, that's the route I'm going to go. I've a lot of work to do on the inner/outer sills and doorsteps. Rear bins are gone completely on the bottom. Keep up the good work

I hope you remembered to take the hammer out of the door before you put the skin back on.

There's some right cowboys out there, KMG. I'll have to get out the tin opener to check.

Decided to go with gold Clubman stripes. Ordered them from Sticky Fingers in the UK and it took two weeks for them to arrive. KMG knows another supplier if anyone needs them.

Delighted with the final result. It's now safely tucked up in the garage for assembly.

Picked up an all-black MPi Cooper steering wheel that was on Donedeal in Athy on the way home from Toughers. Long time before this Mini will be on the road though.
