Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
A small update with some pics
Preped the interior for a repaint
And shot some paint
Etch primed a aload of small parts
And shot some black
Drilled and mounted the bumper bars
Then I stripped them and painted them
Mounted the front frame and started to run the cables
Thats it for now

Looks amazing man. Love the gold frames. I was gonna just shoot mine with black but having seen yours think I might go with a nice red to match the final colour of the car.

Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
Just a small update . Fitted the impact bars into the doors. That was a fun job
And trial fitted the doors on the shell
A word to the wise, dont weld on A panels without the doors fitted passenger side is not to bad, drivers side needs a little work . To make matters worse these doors are reskined and not off this car

Re: Rebuild of my 1000 GT
I had Rob the welder up on monday to sort out my door gaps. We went for a 5mm gap as per the rest of the door . He marked it out and cut the A panel less 2mm . Then he welded it back up , took a line at 5mm from the door and cut down the weld to give the 5mm gap . I only have to dress it back and give it a light skim of filler job oxo sweet
