Hi All
I know this has been on here a lot but I have just got my renewal Quote for my insurance on my 1982 mini van and its crazy compared with last year .....Last year was 340 this year its 510?????
Before you ask there have been no claims or points since last year, when I rang up to enquire I was told that Hibernian were the only ones who will quote me so basically they can charge what they want!!!!
Anyone have some one else I can try or else I think I will be off the road for a while
i got a very good deal with First Ireland in Parkgate St. D8 on the '80 clubby.. an '82 van should qualify as a classic, limited milage. second vehicle type of thing.. ring around... i beleive the vintage soc. of ireland ( not 100% on their name...) had a deal going with an insuarance broker for their members...
I have ended up renewing with AXA concours policy, you can get basic 3rd party for different mileage limits, so the prices can vary, but they have been competitive with others each year. They also give a AXA privilege card which gets 10%-15% of places like Halfords and Woodies, Stena.
.
Coonos gave me the number of a company up North.I think they are called Campbell Autoline and they gave me a quote as good as AXA who I stayed with because the difference was very little.

no problem Keith,
I found Brophy & Co. Insurance Brokers on the net, the policy will be with AXA. But I think it is some way connected to me having a private car insurance as well as they need details of no claims etc. Still I was delighted....Happy Days
