In with the OLD and out with the New
Guess its about time I put some Pics up here.
Bought my first mini in September 2008 1993 RSP Cooper ( knew nothing about minis ) impulse buy ( but no regrets). Like all minis it needed some work and loved learning about its good and bad points. (Thanks for all the help guys) .
Any way this car is now sold and I will miss it. Its goin to a fellow club member in Cork.
When I saw this new mini a 1972 mini 850 I just wanted it . (another impluse buy)
With in 4 days RSP was sold and 850 was mine..
I know its goin to be a big change goin from 1275 to a 850 but as Billy says 850 is the new 1380 .. and after the spin in got from Dubin to Cork last Saturday morning I agree with Billy .. who needs superchargers...
Thanks to all who have helped me over the last 2 years with advise and thanks to the those who advised me on this little baby.
mini 850 was purchased from a true gentleman who is a club member and also makes a great cup of tea.. so thanks for that and I hope I can mind it as good as you did for the last 6 years.
some pics SO hello 850 ...and goodbye RSP

Hope you enjoyed the spin home Eamonn,850's require a different driving style but I am sure you will get the hang of the technique after the next MTM.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

Re: In with the OLD and out with the New
Cheers Gang.
Thanks for all those comments.
Only had a short few spins in it so far (work and home busy) but it gets better ever time I get in to it Super Drive.
Looking foward to the next run down here.
No plans to change anything bar a good service plugs points filter and all fluids to be changed oil,Brake, water , Rad removed and flushed, new hoses and water pump to be fitted, Rear seat belts to be fitted (keep my daughter happy) Heater cable to be replaced last one seized and finally it needs one sealed beam. Im even goin to leave the old MW LW Radio thats fitted....(RTE radio 1 and thats it)..................... Plans I Had it in my head ( Twin Carbs ,Freeflow Manfold, Rc40 , some retro 10" wheels and a works lamp bar in front and front disc conversion) but that will have to wait, it would be a shame to change anything on this... ( mini shell wanted pre 1980) ..
This car is staying as is..
Thanks again for looking..

Eamonn,
I hate to be the one to break the bad news but RTE radio 1 isn't on MW any more. You'll still get it hissily on LW252.
