sorry to be the bearer of bad news Tony, but, these prices are in no way competitive!

i could get three gallons of dukhams for that and still have change out of €30,
i could even almost get 2 gallons of Millers classic oil for that price!

i know that 20w50 oil is getting harder to come by and that prices do tend to go up with that in mind but
i mean no offence, personally i think that this is a bit of a rip off!

It may be of use to all to post up here where we can get sources of oil, particularly 20W50.

Tip of the day would be to contact your local bulk oil supplier and see if they have any barrels (200 litres) of 20w50 left on their shelves. I contacted my local heating oil provider and ended up buying a barrel of 20w50 for 200 Euros as they wanted to offload it. That worked out at 1 Euro/litre. A barrel doesn't take up that much space and you'll have your Mini's oil requirements on tap for years.

the halfords "classic" 20w50 stuff i've been using after Ashgrove ran out of Duckhams seems to be quite good: a little thin, certainly, but it "cleans" well and holds its pressure when old & hot.... usually 20 euro per 5 lt.

Lads I stock millers 20W50 classic MINI oil for 19 euros retail and oil filters for 3.50 euros. I would also like to add that millers 20w50 is the only oil on the Market designed specifically for the mini.
Regards
Paul.

Topic moved to General section from For Sale as it's more appropriate here (even with Tony's photo of an oil can!)
