I heard about something to do with Tesco and ferries, never looked into it though. What way does it work?

you collect the vouchers,, go on the tesco web site and exchange them for ferry tickets... they are worth more that way than just spending them in store, they also exchange them for other types of tickets as well,, have a look at their web site,,, last year we did not know about it till I had spent £60 worth,,, in store, so this year I am saving all my vouchers,,to get the ferry very very cheap,,, LOL

Hey Mummy Hen,

No contracts have been awarded or signed for the organising of MTM2011 yet.
We're currently in discussions to have our fee and bonuses increased by the committee!!!!!!!!!!!

Sue,

The next Committee meeting will be in September so we will have a better idea then of plans for MTM2011.
Rest assured that once we know, it'll be advertised for all to sign up :)

Posted here as didnt want to corrupt the official announcement post.

Considering coming over with my 13 year old Daughter in my ERA doing the run and catching up with some friends along the way in Cork and have family in Donegal and Northern Ireland so thinking of coming Fishguard Rosslare later Thursday/Early Friday and then back Belfast Stranraer leaving a day for Donegal and Northern Ireland. Looks like Stena are best for this found a discount code for them A650 10% off gives about £90 over and £80 back?

Whats story with the tesco vouchers? which ferry companies take them? Are there any better discount codes around?

On the run its self, whats the road like, the ERA runs very low at the front?

Paul,

Tesco vouchers work for Irish Ferries and Stena Line. £10 of Tesco vouchers can be redeemed for £40 of ferry vouchers.

If you are coming over, come on Thursday night and NOT Friday morning. From Rosslare, it's still over 4 hours drive to Mizen Head and you will be utterly knackered on Saturday with a 5am wakeup call.

Re ERA, there are no motorways on an MTM and it's predominantly B-roads with plenty of twisty bits. I have always said hydrolastic and 12" are the best combination for an MTM if you want comfort.

Hope it helps,

Billy

Paul I took my Turbocharged snowplough on MTM last year no problems and it sits low at the front. ERA will be fine
