Post all meeting points and times here.I am taking an 850 so I might try and get a head start.

It was suggested on the other thread that people could meet up near Newlands Cross on the N7 at around 10-11 o clock.Maybe the Applegreen filling station further on down the N7 heading South might be a good spot as there is plenty of parking just off the N7 and there is food and toilets there too.Anyone coming from the Midlands we could meet up just off the Portlaoise by-pass on the Cork road as per last year.

It will be a faster journey down too as Durrow and Abbeyleix will be bypassed by then.

Billy, the Abbeyleix/Durrow by pass is not due to open until July AFAIK....

Over this side we have a few and was thinking of maybe meeting somewhere like Bunclody and convoying over to the Portlaoise meet up to catch the guys from dubling and prob Darren Hutchinson and few others....

From over here for the Bunclody meet i'm guessing,,,

Will try and meet up in Abbeyleix 2, all depends on what time my mate can knock off work at. What channel on the cb's will we be using over the weekend? Would be handy for meeting up with convoys on the way down.

Passed through there last saturday and it took 20 - 25 mins to get through Abbeyleix, Durrow was no problem.

last year a good few of us were using channel 3...

channel 3 worked out quite well for us last year, just dont use channel 9!

Well Billy,

On a normal friday you will get through Abbeyleix heading south no problem up to about 12.30pm, after that you are looking at about up to 20mins delays. Durrow is never a problem.
Probs be best to be passing through Abbeyleix by 12pm and you'll have no delays.

Unfortunately the M7/M8 bypass wont be open until mid July.

I can assure you Kenneth i don't doubt you will be there. My comment of ''maybe'' only refered to the route you will be taking to Cork that you might not wish to travel up the country to Bunclody in order to then travel back South again.

but then again i now remember that you'll be running in an engine so random driving in the wrong direction won't matter.....

Johnny Murphy is planning to get the Southern region members to meet at the Viaduct Inn on the Bandon Rd (N7, 1.5km from bandon rd roundabout on way to bandon) and any other members who would like to join us on trip down to WEST CORK.
Plan is meet up around 2pm and get on the road at 3pm.
Viaduct Inn will be serving food all day it has a fine big carpark so perfect chance for a break for those who have being travelling all Morning.
This is also the venue where the Southern region hold our monthly meetings.

so it looks like Applegreen on N7 to Viaduct, via Abbeyleix. aiming to leave Applegreen @ 10:30 sharp and cruise to 'leix.

just sorting my mini for the mtm.
i was wondering where and what time the crowd from the west is meeting this year.
last year we met up at mcdonalds in athlone.

I'll be leaving about 10.00/10.30 from the house and in Athlone for about 11.00/ 11.30. I'm bringing Joe's mini if anyone is wondering why its driving so slow

Have to drop into Limerick on the way down to collect herself. Its only in as far as Annacotty so not much of a detour. We'll stop for tea if it suits everyone.

Jason is going to rendezvous with us there, coming from Dublin, as he has an exam till late morning in college.

Hopefully leaving Limerick for Cork about 2.30/3.00pm.
