Unhooking the battery for a while usually does the trick. If you need to get at it the alarm module is a small black box with two large multi cable connectors going into it. Its in the inside of the car screwed to the bulkhead just uder and too the left of the ash tray ;)

Dunno if this will work just I was told it when i bought the cooper! Worth a shot anyway?

Turn the ignition on/off x2
Alarm should sound.
Turn off alarm.
Turn ignition on/off x2
Press alarm button x4
Start car(hopefully! :) )

ok had another go last night no luck.
The imobiliser is turning off ok

I can here the pump behind me pressuring up and when i turn the key it tries to start up but no luck.

its happened before and the garage said it was the imobiliser unit. - should i disconnect the imobilser unit and leave for a while? maybe its interferring with the ignition?
