the starter gave up on the auto so missed the paddys day run. ihad an other one to fit it but when iwent
to remove the old starter the nut and the bolt where both turning so the starter was going no where.
ive to take the engine out to try and remove it now.
so ibougth the 1275auto that was for sale there and im putting that in now when iget the other engine out.
started stripin it last nite just the driveshafts to remove now. hope to have it all done over the weekend and back on the road next week.

the 1275 is in. ifinally got it fired up l.nite, had alot of trouble with the babjo for the oil feed.
the threds were nearly all gone on the block. some1 had tryed to put a bigger banjo bolt in to it to, igot the next size bolt an tryed that with no joy, still wasnt catchin enough to hold. got a kit from work to re do the threds, the only1 icould get to fit was an other size bigger. i took the bit iused to the hydraulic shop an the old banjo an he made me up anew1 with hydraulic pipe. it worked perfectly :)
so after alot of messin an head scratchin it fired up last nite, just have to set it up right now to day. an hopefully get it out spin.
thanks keith an unfit for the help and tips

Got the car on the road this mornin. The 1275 sounds great. Starts first turn of the key with out the choke. Have 3gears. It wnt go into drive. So have 2play round with the cable 2nite an try 2sort that. Door skin 2replace next and tidy up the surface rust. Got new set of 12x5 superlites on it they look good. Fingers crossed il get the gears sorted 4 mtm. Be along run at 30mph
