I recieved a message on Bebo from Patricia Strogen (the wife of the the late Patrick Strogen),

''As of, 2/3/2010 at 12.53pm FIDO DIDO is back on the road, insured and taxed and exempt(according to women at ncts.ie) from NCT''

Can anyone tell me if the memorial run is still going ahead for Patrick? I think I seen something about it for April? Maybe Jon can fill us in?

As far as I know this run will be going ahead.There will be a committee meeting this weekend and we will finalise details with Joe Whyte,the Western rep.

glad to hear it looks like a lovely mini cant wait to see it in the metal at a run!

Esthers family are all in Ballina. In fact Patricia used to work with some of her family so we'll be at the memorial run.... Might bring the yellow mini up on the A frame behind the Vectra and do the run in it. Save the journey up and back in the mini.

Thanks everyone, FIDO is going perfect apart from a seized back brake which had the whole town turning round today with the squealing, but took it to another mini owner friend and he put it right. Although it had a very close shave today. While i was stopped at traffic lights some "twit" drove straight into the back of me. Thank god my exhaust stopped him colliding with the car itself. People stopped to stare and after i got out to check that no damage had been done let rip at the young fella with quite a few well chosen words ( actually i called him quite a few 4 letter words) I also pointed out to him that if he had of done any damage he would have expected a huge bill. His girlfriend who was sitting in the passenger seat was calling him every name under the sun at the same time. Will see you all on the day of the run.
