Re: Mini Cooper S 1400
It says it in the ad Stan 1 of 3 made. These were a John Cooper garages conversion on RSP's.I read an article about a green one the P&L minis had a few years ago.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.

I like
A Man at the Mini50 in mondello had a similar one too, I dont think it had the 5 speed but it was a genuine CooperS 1990, a red one with feck all mileage. I was parked beside him

Re: Mini Cooper S 1400
Yes it could be genuine, John Cooper Garages did a carb & then an injection 1400cc conversion.
The carb version consisted of a rebore to 1400cc, forged racing pistons, stage 3 cylinder head, new specially designed camshaft, twin 1 1/2" SU carburettors, large bore exhaust manifold and system, 3.44:1 final drive, high lift roller rockers and oil cooler.
This was only available for fitting at John Cooper Garages.
This lifted the power to 108bhp and the 0-60 dropped to 7.5 seconds.
