I have been in contact with Dundalk IT and they are willing to run a course for us on welding light gauge material as would be found in Minis. The course would consist of introducing members to MIG welding and giving a basic guide into doing it correctly and a small bit of gas welding for those interested. It would be ran over 3 evenings from 7 to 9 on Tuesdays. The cost of this course would be €125 per person to cover DKIT expenses in running the course.A minimum of 12 members would need to sign up for the course to go ahead. What do people think of this and how many would be interested.

There you Maker, just fly to Dubland airport and walk the rest of the way!
I'm the same as Mr. Cooney, depending on dates.

We have an 'Agreement' where we help eachother out on our minis sharing our skills and as he is a qualified fabricator welding is 2nd nature to him..... Takes place in either his workshop or mine......

Lads,
In fairness to KMG, he is trying to gauge interest in a welding course in DKIT. Any other discussion is a distraction from the opening post.

Im gonna have to give this a miss as money is tight and i have the qualification/course done already..
i do however recommend anyone that can and owns a mini to attend this course, the skills you'll learn will come in very handy someday and could save you quite a lot of moola in the future
fair play KMG for contacting the fas and getting something organised with them.
