Bodywork and suspension repairs

Post by jaydeluxe »

My Mini has developed the common rust along the bottom of the doors problem and has the odd dent too. I'm looking for a place / someone who would do these sorts of repairs. Got a quote from that crash repairs place off the Long Mile Road last year and it was quite expensive. I'm sure they'd do a good job but more of a thing is I'd prefer to go to someone who's more familiar with Minis.

Also as the Mini is past 50,000 miles and I can feel that the cones and dampers need replaced. Ideally I'd get a quote for the full job but probably hard to get someone who does bodywork and repairs.

Anyone got any suggestions?

TBH the cones and dampers is not too difficult a job once you have the right tools.

A fully carbon fiber Mini Marcos shell weighs just 7.25kg.
