Wanted for Wedding!

Post by sheridanb »

Hi all, I am getting married in June 2010 and would love if I could get 3 vintage minis to bring the bridal party from the church to the hotel, which is approx 4 miles. The wedding is in Cavan so if anyone from Cavan or the surrounding area would be interested, Id really be grateful if you could let me know! Thanks:)

I would offer Stud but we don't seem to have to much luck around that area so I'v been warned not to go back. From this to this -

From this this happening in Cavan somewere!

And this happening in Longford!

Plus I have my leaving Cert, but if you do get stuck and it's on a weekend or not during the dates of my exams I'm sure I can be of service. 0857492347 - Stan

1995 isnt quite vintage yet though Stan.

Though I dont think there is such thing as a Vintage mini, a Classic may be what he is looking for.

Folks,

If you take any money for doing this wedding, you are effectively hiring out your Minis and your insurance would be void if an accident happened.

The club certainly wouldn't promote such activity as it is not covered by our club insurance.

Thanks folks for the replies.
Daniel, the wedding is in a village called Milltown (about 5 miles outside Belturbet) and the reception is in the Slieve Russell (about 5mins down the road).
Stan, the wedding is on the Sunday of the June bank holiday so if we dont get sorted, I might give you a ring nearer to the time, thanks.
We are looking for 3 classic minis as there are 6 in the bridal party, so fingers crossed we will be able to sort something.
Paul, thanks for the number, Ill bell you over the weekend and see if we can arrange anything!

Make sure there's not grease on the door lock cos it doesn't go well with bridesmaids dresses when they're clambering out of the back of the Mini and possibly catching the same dress on the seat as they get out.

All of this is grand if you are good friends with the bridal party and any problems on the day will be laughed off (eventually). When you are dealing with complete strangers and something goes wrong, be ready for the solicitor's letter afterwards.

i got married on june 1st last year and had minis for the grooms men and myself it was a brilliant day and it certainly turned alot of heads ,instead of offering money maybe offer a mini related gift ,watch, cufflinks, halfords voucher or something, this wouldnt be seen as monetary value but a token of appreciation...... fair play to the lads and 2 very kind ladies (julie and elaine) from here and miniresource who gave up their day to make mine and my wifes so special

BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR PLANNING

Simon..

here are a few pics of my day

If you're using a mini as your wedding car it's best to just remove the front passenger seat (only takes a few minutes). I'd recommend putting mats on the floor then over any metal to prevent snagging etc. Also, as someone else stated clean all the hinges to make sure there's no grease or anything to get on the wifes dress :P

A couple of pics of our day using my mini :D

And if the car breaks down on the way to the church, where does this complete stranger send the solicitor's letter to?
