Regret cutting nearly half the (then) perfectly good front wings away so i didnt get tyre rub!!
I know its a mini and all, plus i need new front cones but the 13x7 give a seriously uncomfortable ride!!
Still like the look of them though, me's thinking about (when the engine is done) of switching to
carbon fibre look miglia arches, love the look of these with the cut lip...

Got some pictures uploaded,
This is the engine when I got it, it had been rallied for a short while and then sat up.
Image

Started stripping it down the other week
Image
Image

Found one of the cam lobes completely worn down, didn’t mind as I was replacing it anyway.
Image

Everything else looked ok,
Cooper S rods

MED crank and centre main strap

Small bit of progress lately, got the gearbox back off Llyod after getting reconditioned,
All casings where sandblasted and then laquered. Gearbox mounting holes drilled out
to accommadate 5/16 bolts

Image

Image

Engine is now on the gearbox, but still waiting on getting my rocker post spacers.
Was meant to be getting them through Llyod off MED but they were taking ridiculously long
Ended up getting them off Paul Hickey so should be able to get the valve timing sorted soon.
Back to work tonight :( but have a shift off the following weekend so hope to get some
serious progress then, will keep ya's posted!!
