Re: 1964 Racer
Looks great, will look fab with your black rosepetals, the black roof gives it a real '60s racer look. My mk1 S is island blue as well, lovely colour

Re: 1964 Racer
Well, progress has been slow to say the least!
Have been distracted with mountain biking and moving into a new workshop...but I'm getting stuck back into the project again and will hopefully make some good progress over the coming months.
As the car stands, it has a complete interior (minus the clocks), the doors are on, chrome work is on, cage is fully bolted in...but that's about it!!!
Next step is the subframes. Front hubs are fully built up and have almost everything ready for assembly, and the rear subframe is waiting assembly too.
Will take some photos soon and try to keep the updates more frequent!

Re: 1964 Racer
So, have been busy over the last few weeks.
Underside of car completely stonechipped and painted blue. Subframes all built and fitted. Lots of other small bits done too!
Pushed it out of the workshop today for the first time in a while and took some snaps. I'm delighted with how the project is shaping up
Next on the list is plumbing in brake lines and finishing off polycarbonate windows.
