are you sure thats a 72 mini looks more like a mid to late 80's shell ,86/87 maybe ,or did someone change the roof and gutters at some stage ..... :?

good luck with it anyway....

Yeah the guy who restored it cut some panels from a donor 86 shell along with the engine, Kenneth gonna stick my bumpers on will prob spray them tomorrow handy it came with sideskirts don't have to look for some anymore!!(kit looks well on the type r btw) going to go with a beige interior, in the middle of making a dash trying to squeeze in as many smiths dials as possible I have a dial fetish

Trying to get her on the road before christmas going to repaint the floor inside for extra protection and inside doors etc need to plan my sound system before I pick and lay my carpet don't think I'll be using the 15" sub on this one! It had an autoplas dash with old smiths gauges very retro but not my style so I'll use the gauges in the dash im making at the mo had a few sleepless nights this week with ideas running through my head my wife said I'm a sad b*stard!

It could be a re-shell which is allowed in the UK.Our numptys in charge down here consider the shell to be the car instead of just another part albeit a big one.Looks great Rory, are you going for big ICE as well.Best of all, cheap tax and insurance and no NCT. :D

I'll go for the subtle approach although I like the look of a 12" sub cut into the backseat!! yeah love bodykits my dad is into mini's and he keeps telling me to stop molesting them! he's part of the 10" brigade differant generations I suppose

Cheers Neasha, we can start our own black rebel mini owners club! It's great having the mini in my dad's garage everytime I call up he's done a load of work to it. The wiring was a bit of a mess in the enginebay hanging down, so it was all reran through the correct area's to tidy up. Still working on making a dash at home. the lights crap in the garage sorry for the dark pics

Theres so much little crap to do!! finally have all the wiring sorted so everything does what its suppose to do,indicators brake lights, heater installed, wipers, headliner, carpet, seats, seat belts(the bottom bolt wont go in) are in speedo wired up,choke cable hooked up,door surround window seals in,radiator hoses attached, there were a lot of little screws and grommits missing the more you look the more you find!Just need to get the clutchslave cylinder and wheel cylinder sorted seemed to have seised or expanded with the cold? and a few other little bits and she should be good to rock n roll
