Was in Martin Byrnes garage there a while ago as I was servicing the Passat up. You may know himself and his son Dara Byrne from Rallycross. I seen a picture on the wall which was a Clubman which he build for Ashgrove interparts.



And here is his own car.

what was left of that clubman used to reside in the back yard of Rodney evans motors,
dont know if its still there or not as this would have been more than 10years ago when i last saw it

that wasnt the clubby macker it was the blue saloon that both derek and gary smith used to race and correct me if im wrong but martin byrne DIDNT build that clubby .his name was never mentioned as building it in the 5 years i worked there.....

only after i posted i was thinking that it wasn't quite right

the blue was a starter car for simon and it was not owned by derck or gary smith it was a car from greystones alright. it was owned by gary roe and angus seely of rally results.ie fame

well derek must have been shitting us all those years ago ,i know there was a metro at some stage and a few escorts aswell 1 of the escort shells being a ford rallysport item from germany i think.....
