It depends on the age of the car . Up to 87 will get you the option of a classic policy with some companys like carol nash . If its classic join the ivvcc and you can get a very good deal .
It will all depend on your age and the age of the car, other than that shop arround :wink:

There is no place you can get ''good insurance'' Paul. They're all robbing basterds! When I got my first quote it was 7k thrid party so like tony said shop around because I then got a quote after a while of 1.5k. The best for people our age are Hiburnien and Quinn direct and yes I no my spelling is shocking! I think it's Hiburnien who are doing a thing for young drivers which I think Mr. Mack told me about which was said to me again today. There saying if you do ten driving lessons with them (I'm not sure now but I think they are thrity euro's each) they will insure you for free for six months which you cannot complain about on any CAR (no commercails) which means you pay for the lessons, your then insured for enough time to apply for your full driving test :D Let me know how you get on.

Try pat britton in donegal town..worked for me when i was 18 getting insurance..
