Roof Bars

With the IMM coming up, I need to source roof bars for the Mini.

Are there decent alternatives to Thule? Halfords are saucy for the 2 bars and you then have to buy all the other attachments separately which all adds up.

There's 2 types mentioned on Ebay, Barra and Automaxi and they're a fraction of the Halfords for the complete items which all adds up to about 95 Euros for what are basically 2 steel bars with a few bits added. Seems steep to me.

Here's the alternatives:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AutoMaxi-Roof-Rac ... 1|294%3A50

Any thoughts?

The guy who has the green Mini that looks like the Hulk (I think his name is JustCoupe maybe?) but he has roof bars on the Mini, he used them to pick up his new project.

Fair play lads. Gareth, thanks for the offer but I've been scrounging roof bars over the years and it's time to get my own. Joe, could you do the fittings as well? That's the tricky bit.

Keep the comments coming, folks. The IMM isn't that long away.

Is it the classic roof rack your after?
I cant see the links due to being at work.
Or if your just after a rack have you tried the Paddy Hopkirk roof rack, I have one was going to bring it over to MTM.
Im sure there is a pic on here somewhere of it.
I only paid about £20 for it second hand, it has cross bars as well.
If you can arrange carriage its yours, I wont be needing it.
It all unbolts to around a three foot long package
