Hi guys, unfortuantely I don't have a garage and I have to leave the mini outside in the driveway. I want to get a good cover though and I read that the car cover ones (
http://www.carcoverzone.co.uk) are quite good. The stormforce seems to be the best, together with the monsoon one, what do you guys think? I tried to reach the thread on the miniresources.com but the forum doesn't seem to be at that address anymore.

The guy who organised the group buy of the car covers is on here also, he is WZD345, you could drop him a PM and see if he still has any.

Hi Sanguiss,
I have a monsoon fitted car cover on my Mini which is parked outdoors in my driveway and I find that it is brilliant.
It is great at keeping the weather elements off the car.
Make sure if you are removing a wet cover that you chamois dry it off first and leave it somewhere to dry off before putting it back on the car.

Had a PM from Sergio re these covers and have just discovered the thread.
Prices for Classic Mini saloon covers are as follows:
Indoor/outdoor showerproof (Voyager) €66
4 ply outdoor (Stormforce) - can also be used for indoors €128
I think that for the future I will just offer these 2 covers, as the indoor/outdoor has been the most popular over the last 4 years and the new 4 ply introduced last year is a really super cover - I use it myself. I know the guy who is the owner of the company which makes these covers - he races with me here and they are the leading maker in UK. I will see him at the weekend and will try to get a bit more discount on the expensive one.
**Prices are based on me placing a minimum order of 10. I will be over there on 8/9 August to race at Phoenix Park, so could put them in the racetruck when coming - no postage charges. Also price is based on today's exchange rate £/€ of .8515
If anyone wants to order, please start a list here.
Regards
Eamonn

I'm in for the stormforce.
As I wrote to you in a pm, I would need you to post it out to me if you can.
Cheers, Sergio.

i have the voyager cover, bought it in the last group buy, an excellent cover, well made, duarable nicely stitched: i used it all winter outside: hadnt intended to but circumstances changed.
although its not 100% long term waterptoof, its light enough to billow and dry quickly once it stops raining. If i were to buy another id probably go for the 4ply stormforce.

Just picking this thread up from another section where I posted a query.
I'm definitely interested in getting a cover.
However a quick query - from the photos the covers seem relatively well
fitted. However - do they still flap about on windy days and make noise?
The last cover I had drove the neightbours mad on windy days so I had to
take it off.
Thanks.

No Flapping. They are a good fit, with a little slack - sufficient to allow some air to circulate. Also have 2 fixing straps which pass under the car to secure.
