I use 20W50 in mine. It shares its oil with the engine. I've had my '67 auto for about 20 years and it should be in Durrow on Sunday.

Yup, 20W50 is what you need.

Remember though that the automatic engine uses oil pressure to work the gears and therefore needs regular oil and filter changes, more so than the manual engine.

The recommended oil grade for autos was 15w40 mineral oil when they were brought out first which is what I use in mine but 20w50 was recommended later in production and works fine as well.If you can get it then Duckhams oil is the one to use plus it's a nice green colour and has a lovely smell too.For long auto life, oil change every 1500 and oil and filter every 3000.
Real Clubmans have a square nose.Seriously.
