FOUND: Pickup in a Skip

This deserves a topic of its own. Jeremy, our man in Malta, posted this find on http://www.maltaminiforum.com a few days ago. It's not a Maxi-photoshop job. This is for real, an abandoned "Pickup" on top of a big yellow skip.

This just keeps getting better. Jeremy collected the "Pick-up in the Skip" today. Malta is the place if you're into Minis or Land Rovers. It seems Jeremy is fortunate to have both. I'm green with envy. When did you ever see a garage in Ireland with tiled floor? It must be a lot easier to clean all the oil drips from the Minis than a bare concrete floor.

We should vote for Malta to host an IMM.

hi everyone, I'm Jeremy, the new owner of that pick-up.

That Land rover is not mine, it belongs to a good friend of mine who offered to tow the pick up home for me :D

We're now cleaning up and de-rusting that engine bay in the hope to get that little 850 engine back to life! 8)

see you around guys
Jeremy

well, the scrapyard owner had a little crane so it was an easy job

Unfortunately the gutter and the surrounding areas need some panel beating due to the straps, but nothing that can't be fixed :D

Hey flamenco.....
where in malta you live?
My in laws live in Qwara. Father in law works in the law courts on security. Hope to get out there later in the year or early next year. Maybe could get a look at the pick up or even be lucky enough to be there when a mini run on or something and tag along.....
